Stadtwerke Ditzingen GmbH & Co. KG (hereinafter "SWD" or "client") is a municipal utility company based in Ditzingen, Baden-Wuerttemberg. As one of the youngest full-scale municipal utilities in Germany, the SWD provides supplies to industry, commerce and private households Electricity, gas, heat and water as well as the operation of the sewage system and street lighting. In accordance with Section 100 GWB, the SWD acts as a sector client in the area of heat supply (Section 102 GWB). The city of Ditzingen is located in the federal state of Baden-Wuerttemberg, bordering the northwest of Stuttgart and has around 25,000 inhabitants. The new development area "Ob dem Korntaler Weg" is currently being built in the northeast of the city. The area covers an area of approximately 8.6 hectares and will develop from an agricultural area into a predominantly residential area. The plan is approx. 146 residential units in individual houses and compact individual houses as well as 154 residential units in multi-storey apartment buildings. The quarter is supplemented by a child day care facility. As part of their municipal public services, the SWD is planning an innovative and sustainable development in this area To build and operate the heating network. The aim is to supply the multi-story apartment building and the daycare center with heat generated from renewable sources.
