- The University of Regensburg (client) is planning in the physics department at the? Atomic-scale science on insulator group? the procurement of a new ultra-root pulse laser system with repeat rates in the double-digit megahertz area. The diode-pumped laser in free jet optics should be based on a laser medium made of chrome-doted zinc sulfide and emit femtose recovery pulses with a central wavelength of approx. 2.2 µm. Including the corresponding spectral widening, the device is guaranteed to achieve less than 10 FS with an impulse energy of at least 10 NJ. The carrier and wrapped-in phase of the emitted impulses should be actively stabilized and freely selectable. One of the most important requirements includes a TEM00 fashion profile and a spectrum that covers more than an optical octave. The highest stability in amplitude and phase are equally important. The laser is to be used, among other things, with a generation of differential frequency developed in Regensburg in order to generate phase -rigid laser impulses in the middle infrared.
