• The aim of the advertised literature study is the systematic collection and critical evaluation of the current scientific knowledge on infections caused by Legionella pneumophila serogroups 2-14 and by non-pneumophila Legionella species. The The focus is on the transmission route via water, particularly drinking water, cooling towers and wastewater. The study provides a comprehensive compilation of published infection cases as well as the microbiological and molecular biological methods used in each case Detection methods for diagnosing pathogens.
