Object description ITEM building (Lot 1)
The Institute for Toxicology and Experimental Medicine / ITEM Hannover of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft e. V. is a world-leading application-oriented research institution. The employees work in contract research for Indiaustry and public institutions. For 40 years, ITEM has been successfully offering research into human health, both from a preventive medical perspective and with regard to the development of diagnostic methods and innovative therapy concepts with a focus on respiratory healthation tract. The operational structure is subject to constant change, including structural changes.
At the end of 2021, a total of 441 people were employed at Fraunhofer ITEM with an operating budget of 35.8 million euros.
