Description:
In the Peatland Protection - Brandenburg (BLuMo) pilot project, eddy covariance measurements are used to measure the area-specific and quantitative exchange of climate-relevant greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide (CO2) and methane (CH4) between peatland locations and the atmosphere. The Eddy Kovarianz-method makes it possible to measure the carbon fluxes on agriculturally used moorland and thus to estimate the carbon budget and to identify possible carbon sources or sinks. Two eddy covariance systems are purchased by the client and on the two Moorstainstalled there Randowbruch and Rhinluch. The client intends to install another eddy covariance system on another bog site at a later date.
Scientific supervision is required for the operation, maintenance and data analysis of both systemsgt. The project is set to expire on December 31, 2031. The tasks of the scientific supervision of the eddy-covariance systems can be subdivided as follows:
Position 1 - construction, operation and maintenance of the eddy-covariance systems on site
Position 2 - data storage and data management
Position 3 - Procession and quality control (raw data processing)
Position 4 - Scientific data evaluation and data transmission to the client
