The Environmental Economy. and strengthen future -oriented business location and the country as a leading provider of innovative environmental technologies on national and position international level. The task of the Environmental Economy Competence Network is to do the environmental economy with targeted measures in the areas of "network management and office", "innovation and competitiveness", "international visibility and partnerships" as well To support "communication and public relations". Extensive to the competence network is intended to support the development in all eight sub -markets of the environmental economy, where be determined. The competence network uses different roles and functions: in its role as a future workshop, it identifies the needs of action and shows solutions. As a smithy, it provides impulses of action and starts processes. In its function as Exchange platform connects actors and supports the formation of cooperations and partnerships. And last but not least, as a "shop window of the environmental economy", it provides the environmental innovations from North Rhine-Westphalia national and international visibility.
