The first building complex of the Marien primary school in Tirschenreuth was inaugurated in January 1955. From 1994 to 2000 a general renovation took place. The school was "made fit" for the requirements of the present. To meet the legal entitlement to all -day care for children of primary school ageThe necessary additional rooms are to be created in the adjacent former empty fire station Tirschenreuth. The city of Tirschenreuth had a feasibility study with the aim of determining whether the necessary space requirement can be covered and theIntegration of the empty former fire station into the school complex is possible. The aim of the city of Tirschenreuth is to use existing building fabric as far as possible. When designing the building, pay attention to a sustainable construction, i.e. natural materials, summery andWinter thermal insulation, ventilation concept without ventilation system, sustainable energy concept with connections existing school building.
