- In the implementation of the approaches to health promotion and prevention in living environments in accordance with Section 20 (4) No. 2 and § 20a SGB V, DAK-Gesundheit has been committed to various prevention initiatives in the settings of daycare and school, the nationwide positive response in politics and expertshave experienced. The aim of engagement in the context of health promotion and prevention in living environments is to make the conditions in the setting health -promoting and to convey skills for a health -conscious lifestyle through low -threshold and tailored offers. TheDAK health as one of the largest statutory health insurance companies regularly examines the health burdens of children and adolescents (most recently a study on media addiction, published in March 2025). The surveys confirm a need for health promotionand prevention for the target group. It turns out that early development of health competence is becoming increasingly important, since in addition to the known risks (too little movement, unhealthy nutrition, increasing stress), further topics are relevant, such as theDealing with social media and computer games as well as bullying. From autumn 2027, DAK health is planning to commission the implementation of new concepts for health promotion and prevention for children and adolescents in daycare centers and schools.
