• Market exploration for the establishment of AI real-world laboratories by the Federal Ministry of Health (BMG) The Federal Ministry of Health (BMG) is planning to set up real-world AI laboratories in the healthcare sector. The aim of procurement for AI real-world laboratories is one Accelerating the transfer of innovative AI systems into healthcare. It includes several projects. One of these projects is intended to support institutions that develop AI (“AI developers”) in identifying regulatory requirements at an early stage, to address and establish correspondingly compliant development processes. This goal is to be achieved significantly by creating reference documentation (“blueprints”) for common documents that are used as part of a conformity assessment or Certification procedures are required to be developed and published. The BMG plans to support AI developers, especially small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), in developing such “blueprints” together with relevant experts to work out. The prerequisite for funding is that the resulting “blueprints” are published in full in order to achieve added value for AI developers who are not funded.
