The city of Leuna intends to justify a cooperation (PPP / OeOeP) with a strategic partner with the aim of implementing sustainable, future-proof and surface-covering municipal heat supply in Leuna. With the present market exploration process, the necessary information and the possible cooperation models to prepare for a corresponding award procedure are to be queried and interested companies are informed about the award plans. It is not a Procurement procedure. The aim is to develop a technically and economically sustainable solution, which enables the supply of all consumers (except for Chemical Park Leuna) - both in the core area and in the towns of Leuna - on the market and socially compatible conditions. Where economically sensible, an independent heat production compared to the purchase of heat by external suppliers is to be preferred.
