- The Verkehrsgesellschaft Kreis Herford GmbH (hereinafter "VKH") is a transport company of the Herford district. The subject of the company is the provision of local public transport services (public transport) with buses in the traffic area of the district of Herford and the associated Services for the task authority as a responsible authority within the meaning of personal transport law and other services from 01.08.2026. The basis for the provision of traffic services in the Herford district are public service orders that the VKH from Herford district for provision of transport services in the bundles of the line D1, B1/B2. According to the current status of the plans, around 49 % of the VKH transport services are to be provided by subcontractors. In an upcoming award procedure, the VKH is considering subcontracting services in several lots forgive. Before the award procedure is initiated, a market exploration is carried out. The aim is to get an overview of the current market conditions and to design the award in such a way that it can be designed for companies in such a way that an efficient and economic provision can take place.
