As the Federal Institute for Vaccines and Biomedical Drugs, the Paul Ehrlich Institute (PEI) is a federal authority within the scope of the Federal Ministry of Health (BMG).
At its current location in Langen, the Paul Ehrlich Institute can only operate under increased floodplain conditionsfwand maintained and has neither the necessary future-proof flexibility nor urgently needed expansion space on the property. The Federal Republic of Germany is therefore planning to rehouse the Paul Ehrlich Institute. For this purpose, the BMG has the Federal Real Estate Agency(BImA) was commissioned to explore a new property that met the requirements. The result of this exploration is the decision to build a new research campus on a property close to the previous location. Due to the specific use as a laboratory building and the associatedIn accordance with legal requirements, the Paul Ehrlich Institute, as the user, should generally take over the operation of the new property itself, including building maintenance. The construction project for the new Paul Ehrlich Institute is a very demanding and complex project in various respectscomplex project.
