At the Heidelberg University Hospital, a university heart center is being rebuilt within the clinic grounds in Neuenheimer Feld during the ongoing clinical operations of the Heidelberg University Hospital, on the site around the old children's clinic. The new heart center will include cardiology, angiology, cardiac surgery, pediatric cardiology, pediatric cardiac surgery and cardio-anesthesia at Heidelberg University Hospital are brought together. Interdisciplinary collaborations and innovations generate synergies and added value in care and research. Directly The scientific work area Informatics for Life (IFL) will be integrated into the new heart center building and functionally closely linked to it. By focusing on scientific computing in cardiovascular molecular research, progress in personalized cardiac medicine will be achieved Germany realized.
