- Mindener Parkhaus GmbH - New Marienwall parking garage Mindener Parkhaus GmbH intends to outsource the planning services for the construction of a new parking garage on Marienwall to a general planner. The parking garage, built in 1978, is to be demolished and then be replaced by a contemporary parking garage. According to the professional assessment of the Two For You office from Leinfelden-Echterdigen, a modern parking garage with a sufficient number of parking spaces is necessary in Minden due to the relatively low parking space fees and the sharp increase in construction costs make it impossible to operate economically. Therefore, financial support from the city is required. In order to reduce the investment costs for a new parking garage, it was checked after the HFA meeting on August 28, 2025 whether some of the trees can be partially preserved. As part of the feasibility study by the architectural firm PM from Minden, the preservation of some existing trees as part of the construction project is to be achieved by reducing the facade structure and foregoing a half Subterranean basement possible. However, the facade greening would then be omitted, which is the right approach given the preservation of trees. This is a parking garage with up to 5 parking levels and a maximum of 225 parking spaces feasible. The costs are estimated at around EUR 5.7 million (net).
