• Description:
• As part of the regional agreement for the protection of the marine environment of the north-east Atlantic (OSPAR), the contracting states have agreed various measures to protect the seabirds and also set up a network of marine protection area (MPAS), which (among other things) should support the protection of endangered and/or in the decline. However, there is no knowledge of all types of their key habitats, i.e. Sea areas that play an important role for the animals in their life cycle, e.g. critical areas for hunting, rest, mouse, etc., and which could thus make an essential contribution to the species. With the help of a modeling approach, key habitats for the OSPAR listed T&D seabogue species must be identified as part of this project. By comparing these habitats with the exisiting OSPAR MPA network, other marine areas that could have a positive effect on the species if the protection position could have a positive effect.
