Description:
The Stuttgart City Gardenery was based on the ideas of Prof. Dr. R. Maatsch from the Hanover Technical University was built and was one of the most modern production nursery in Europe at the time of completion. The current system consists of a social building (A), 3 Quadratical 1-storey buildings with the uses of administration, city garden center (C), energy generation and warehouse (d) and warehouse and garages (e), several small-scale greenhouses (1-19 and 20-22), outdoor plant areas and outdoor storage areas, as well as large-scale traffic infrastructure and Parking areas. In the years 1979, 1982 and 1996, buildings were supplemented and renovated, as well as in 2006 the energy generation was expanded by a wood chipping system including storage cultivation, thereby producing today's building stock.
The current structure of the system provides a clear urban development structure that, which sees social construction as a prelude in access and from there, directs an orthogonal axis to the administrative and company buildings. To the east and west of these buildings, the greenhouses are divided.
The city nursery today provides an important production and training company the state capital Stuttgart and is to be renovated and should be expanded to include various areas in order to be prepared for future tasks programmatically and technically as best as possible.
