- In order to fulfill the requirements of EC Directive 2000/60/EC, the species and abundances of macrozoobenthos (MZB) must be recorded and documented in selected Brandenburg rivers, in addition to site-related parameters. The selection of in the The surface water body (OWK) to be examined in the years 2026-2027 concerns sections of water in the state of Brandenburg to which at least one of the following criteria applies: - ecological priority function in the river network system, - there are or are there pressures on the ecohydrological or hydromorphological condition; Measures to counteract these pressures to improve the ecological condition are necessary, planned or have already been implemented - available findings Chemical-physical or chemical parameters clearly exceed the orientation values or limit values of the Surface Water Ordinance (OGewV 2020) - the waters are subject to or are connected to mining influences rivers influenced by mining - there is currently no biological data available - the measuring point is part of the national reference network of reference or intercalibration waters and its investigation serves to check anchor points and Class boundaries of the national assessment procedure PERLODES, also with regard to the possible need to adapt the procedure to new conditions as a result of climate change.
