- The district town of Bad Hersfeld has a total of around 5,500 street lights, of which around 1,840 technical, technical-decorative and decorative lights have not yet been converted to LED technology. For reasons of energy saving, reducing consumption, but also For environmental reasons, these lights should be completely replaced in 2026 and 2027.
Based on a successful pilot test with around 165 technical street lights, state-of-the-art adaptive street lighting was set up in 2022 Sensor-controlled reacts to weather conditions and traffic volumes and in which the lights equipped with controllers can be controlled individually. The lamp heads are variable depending on the requirements in terms of illuminance and color temperature (2,200, 2,700 and 3,000 Kelvin) is controlled and adapted to different scenarios.
