  • The project aims to analyze and use the ecosystem functions of the entire Alpine region in order to strengthen both climate protection and the adaptation strategies. One focus is therefore on the identification and comparative (meta) analysis of existing local to national implementations and projects of natural-based solutions in the various natural-centered sectors of the alpine climate action plan (i.e. water, soil, ecosystems and biodiversity, agriculture, forests, tourism, natural hazards) . The basic principles, which are defined as relevant to the NBS in the context of the project, are based on the strategy for climate-neutral and climate-like alps until 2050. This includes, for example Moor protection and the promotion of sustainable agricultural practices to secure the foundations of life.
