Description:
This award is intended to award a concession in three lots in the publicly dedicated Neustadter Hafen in Bremen. The concessions are awarded for the period from January 1st, 2028 to December 31st, 2057. The Neustadter Hafen is not in the free port area. The Bremen ports, which are from The two locations Bremen and Bremerhaven are the second largest German seaport and are currently being used. by more than 5,500 merchant ships annually (2024). Around 62 million t (2024) are handled in the Bremen ports every year. The Neustadter Hafen is one of these port areas. With an annual throughput volume of around 3.8 million tons of freight, the Neustadt port is a central hub for national and international general and heavy goods traffic. In recent years, the location has expanded its range of services. Today, for example, here also large components for onshore wind turbines
Complex natural gas liquefaction systems also reach the port in individual parts by heavy transport, are assembled on site to form complete systems and then loaded for onward transport. With this EU announcement the Europe-wide participation competition opened for all three lots.
