Description:
The client is having the new Volkstheater Rostock building built on the construction site between "Lange Strasse", "Am Kanonsberg" and the "Am Bussebart" car park in Rostock. The location of the planned theater is within the historic city center near the former city wall / Kroepeliner Goal. Adjacent is the striking urban "House of Shipping", which was completed in 1962. The new theater building is planned as a reinforced concrete structure; In some cases, steel and composite beams/columns are also used. The load is partly transferred via wall-like supports and flat ceilings in in-situ concrete. The new theater building is designed as a four-section theater with a large hall (approx. 650 seats), a stage (approx. 200 seats) and two large and two small rehearsal stages. In addition, the new theater building will also have rooms for public catering offered on levels E3 and E7. The theater has three basement levels; A public underground car park with around 100 parking spaces will be planned on the lowest level (E-3). The access and exit ramp is located on the north side of the "Am Bussebart" car park. Also the distribution and The disposal route is on the north side of the new theater building.
