Description:
New Mobil and Aktiv Moenchengladbach GmbH plans to build the new bus depot at the location of the former Niederrhein-Kaserne in Moenchengladbach. The New Mobil and Aktiv Moenchengladbach GmbH and New Mobil and Aktiv Viersen GmbH have as part of the sustainability strategy of the New Group decided to completely switch the entire bus fleet (231 buses in Moenchengladbach and 27 buses in Viersen) to alternative drives until 2030. The current strategy provides for the switch to electrical drives. The increased space requirement for the charging infrastructure And for the changed operating processes cannot be demonstrated on the existing operating cups both in Moenchengladbach (Rheinstrasse) and in Viersen (Rectoratsstrasse). That is why the New Mobil and Aktiv Moenchengladbach GmbH has decided on Kaldenkirchener Strasse in Moenchengladbach on the Readings of the former Niederrhein barracks to build a new inter-communal emission-free bus depot for the entire electric bus fleet of both transport companies.
