• Description:
• The new building is being built on the campus of Saarland University in Saarbrücken and will be used by the Helmholtz Institute. It is an extension for the first construction phase of the Helmholtz Institute for Pharmaceutical Research Saarland (HIPS) and complements it functionally and architecturally. The extension is planned to the east of the existing building and is connected to the existing building by two bridges, each of which connects the office and laboratory corridor with that of the new building. This is supplemented Extension building with terraced parking areas integrated into the site to the east. The position of the longitudinal axes of the building is based on the existing structure. The laboratory axis grid was chosen to be slightly wider than the existing one in order to ultimately be more flexible Allow device installation.
