Description:
The tense housing market situation in the district of Oberallgaeu, but also in the market town of Sulzberg, is making it increasingly difficult for people on low incomes to find suitable housing. In connection with the state funding option of the municipal housing promotion program (KommWFP), the Markt Sulzberg to provide new apartments on a plot of land it owns.
In 2021, the municipality was able to purchase an agricultural farmstead in the center of the small hamlet of Ried that had been empty for years. The property with a size of 2,565 m2 should now,after the demolition of the former agricultural building, a new residential complex will be built on. With the train station, Sulzberg-Ried has an excellent connection to the regional center of Kempten. The small town is characterized by a juxtaposition of residential buildings and an agricultural yardplaces embossed.
The Sulzberg market would like a compatible inner development with moderate density. Overall, an above-ground gross floor area (GFA) of around 2,200 m2 plus underground parking spaces appears possible. The planned residential complex should be able toexisting settlement structure without appearing as a foreign body. The aim of the planning is to create inexpensive living space for the local population with a cost-optimized construction method and effective use of space.
