Description:
The TU Braunschweig is planning the construction of a new building for pharmacy, which will be used primarily by the Institute for Medicinal and Pharmaceutical Chemistry (IMPC). The institute is currently located in the building at Beethovenstrasse 55; after the move to the new building, the building will become Beethovenstrasse 55 (building 2423) has been completely renovated and used for other purposes.
The neighboring building at Mendelssohnstrasse 1 (building 2423) will continue to be used by the IMPC, among other things, and will be used in conjunction with the new building. Access to building 2423 is via an intermediate building between Gebuilding 2414 and 2423. The planned new building is north of the two buildings 2414 and 2423, on the current parking lot. The new building will extend in an east-west direction with a length of approx. 60 m and a width of 23 m. The main entrance to the new building is from the west side (Beethovenstrasse). neEntrances are on the north and south side. The delivery/collection of chemicals is planned on the east side. The new building is part of the teaching building on the east campus, in the immediate vicinity are various institute buildings, the canteen and a sports hall.
The Freifache should be planned within the limits mentioned, the size of the area is approx.
4,880 m2, of which approx. 1,380 m2 for the new building, so the outdoor area is approx. 3,500 m2.
