- Wooden roof Task In the areas marked in blue, the wooden roof paneling must be restored to the original. The tongue and groove boards in pine are 20mm thick and have a width (without tongue) of 105mm (in the non-conical areas). The left area in the picture below (front side 2) has a length of approx. 2700mm, the right area (front side 1) has a length of approx. 6000mm. Both areas to be reconstructed are largely located where the car body is located Tapered towards the front sides. This is why some of the formwork boards have a conical shape. The crown board (center of the roof) has a groove on both sides. The first two layers ascending from the lower edge (top edge of the upper chord) are in their Material thickness is thicker and must be profiled according to this radius due to the small radius of the roof bows in this area. In the z-roof bows (steel) there are wooden bows (ash) at the top and bottom, here the groove and Spring boards of the roof formwork screwed together. The client provides 1:1 templates of all roof bows in both reconstruction areas as well as a drawing with the exact distances between the roof bows. This means that the contractor should... recreate both areas in his workshop in order to produce the tongue and groove boards here. The client will then install these on the vehicle himself.
