Description:
The district of Baumheide is located in the eastern urban area of Bielefeld and faces larger spatial and social development tasks that a qualified urban planning need for action i.S. of § 171 e BauGB (measures of the social city). To meet these tasks, wasan integrated urban development concept (Insek) developed for Baumheide. In 2017, the Insek Baumheide was decided by the Council of the City of Bielefeld and an area of the social city determined in accordance with Section 171e (3) BauGB (see Fig. 1). Due to the new urban development policy (2023)The Insek Baumheide reorganized in 2026. Baumheide is a heterogeneous district. The urban renewal area comprises a total area of around 4.35 km2 with around 8,000 inhabitants. The district center around the leisure center is a core area, which is a wide variety of urban planningHas problem situations. A central measure by the Insek Baumheide is the development and redesign of the "new center Baumheide". The measure is to redefine the public space around the Leisure Center Baumheide (FZZ), the market purchase and the Stadtbahn stop in the center of the districtand to be upgraded. A sustainable further development of the area is planned, including the upgrading of the freedom for more quality of stay, the redesign of the light rail stop and the creation of a mobility station at the Rabenhof, with the aim of the district center for everyoneTo design and to reduce fear dreams and barriers.
