Description:
The TU Braunschweig intends to construct a research building Center for Circular Production of Next Batteries and Fuel Cells | CPC at the Braunschweig research airport campus in the immediate vicinity of the existing buildings of the NFF (Niedersaechsisches Forschungszentrum Fahrzeugtechnik) and NFL (Niedersaechsisches Forschungszentrum fuer Luftfahrt) as well as in direct connection to the recently built test hall of the BLB2 (Battery LabFactory Braunschweig).
The Fraunhofer Society is currently planning its research building ZESS (Project Centerrum for energy storage and systems).
The central goal of the CPC is research into the cycle of battery and fuel cells from production to use and recycling.
The approved areas of the research building with a NUF 1 - 6 of 3,680 m2 include 1,505 m2 for offices and talkareas, 526 m2 of laboratories (including two clean rooms, approx. 150 m2) and 1,649 m2 of technical center areas including drying rooms (approx. 600 m2). Outdoor areas for battery cyclers (containers) are planned.
For the application for the research building, preliminary planning has already been carried out with the resulthe created the ES construction document. The essential excerpts of these preliminary plans are attached to this procedure in the second stage and represent the basis for further processing.
