Non -open realization competition with negotiation procedures according to participation competition
The competition takes place in coordination with the Berlin Chamber of Architects Berlin corporation under public law. The basics of the competition are: the guidelines for planning competitions (RPW 2013), the award regulation(VGV).
In the competition process, designs are to be developed that show how a new dense urban district can be created on the edge of Berlin in the context of the surrounding landscape area, which is affordable and worth living, high -quality and ecological. 500,000 m2 BGF for living and socialInfrastructure and at least 20,000 m2 BGF for businesses are to be developed into a sustainable and integrated neighborhood. In order to create affordable living space, at least 75 % of the residential buildings that realize the state-owned housing companies must be in serial construction or as typesbe created.
Another central goal is the area -saving development of the neighborhood. This should be embedded by a quick and need-based expansion of local public transport, a local supply that can be achieved within walking distance and the creation of attractive lounge and freedomin a holistic mobility concept.
It is intended to conclude a contract with the four award winners for the gradual commissioning of 1. Participation in workshop procedures and 2. (Optional) master plan.
