• The town hall and community center in Niederdorfelden, built in 1970 and rebuilt in 1984, is in need of renovation due to structural, fire protection, technical and functional deficiencies. Against this background, a RPW 2013 competition was held for the renovation, conversion and expansion of the building ensemble. The competition property, which is owned by the municipality of Niederdorfelden, is located not far from the town center on the northern edge of the municipality in a prominent corner location on Burgstrasse and Berliner Strasse. The authors of the design, which was awarded first prize, combined all functions under a large gable roof, with essentially the same footprint as the current building.
