• The subject of this procedure is renovation work on a brick facade with concrete components
  As part of the basic usability of the congress hall, the building shell is to be worked on. Stability must be established and ensured for the brick-faced courtyard facade with reinforced concrete elementsand to ensure road safety in some areas. The planned measures on the brick-facing surfaces include removing the damaging growth, cleaning the surfaces, the differentiated removal of loose shells, securing the masonry and partialJoint renovation. The concrete surfaces and in particular the consoles at the upper end of the 1st floor are planned to be repaired with crack closure, partial exposure of reinforcement and rust protection and the application of a smooth coat to improve water drainage. In selectedFacade nets must be installed on surfaces.

  The city of Nuremberg intends to carry out measures to fundamentally make the congress hall usable and secure its substance on the former Nazi party rally grounds in Nuremberg.
  The torso of the unfinished and currently unusable congresshalle was built between 1935 and 1939 (construction work was discontinued) and is one of the largest structural legacies of the Nazi dictatorship.
