The Willy-Brandt-Platz in theMessestadt Riem is being redesigned. For this purpose, the general assembly of the Munich city council on March 26, 2025 (session no. 20-26 / V 12180) granted the construction department.on quality of stay. At a citizen participation event on September 17, 2021, the building department presented a concept for a redesign of the Willy-Brandt-Platz, which has met with great approval. Based on the concept study supplemented with the wishes of the citizens, this wasBuilding department with decision of the building committee of 08.03.2022 (session template No. 20-26 / V 05484) commissioned to take the planning for the redesign.
The decided planning concept for redesign for a climate -adapted place provides for a combination of different areas. TheBaUreferat replaces large parts of the sealed area with experienced vegetation areas. North of the portic, a forest-like situation shields the place from Willy-Brandt-Allee.
