Description:
By 2030, the railway wants to extensively renovate around 40 busy routes, including seven in Bavaria. The aim is to completely renew busy and in need of renovation within the shortest possible period of time.
The renovation of the 5830 Obertraubling-Passau route begins in June 2026. We understand general renovation of a bundled renewal of all trades over several months. The route forms an important part of the European Rhein-Donau traffic axis. Many freight trains between Central Europe and Southeast Europe, long -distance traffic between Germany and Austria as well as various local transport lines on the route. As a result of this strong use, there is a great need for renovation.
We consider the Passau- Plattling (Baulos 1) section in the market dialogue, in which extensive track and overhead line renovations, the new construction of two signal boxes, the modernization of two train stations and an underground location via a section of 2km. In addition, the new construction of two transfer centers and switch connections is planned.
The concept of loose formation for the construction surveillance services has been set up and is in the market dialogue explained.
