- As part of UK Jena's surgical activities, around 60,000 sets are currently used every year. Current current situation - Kit packs and laundry sets are procured separately, the aim is to merge them (process optimization will be carried out in preparation of the service description) - Current number of sets: 15 laundry sets / 55 kit packs
Kit packs are used in the following areas o Central operating room (eye clinic, AVG surgeon, gynecology, ENT, cardiothoracic surgeon, maxillofacial surgery, neurosurgery, trauma surgery, urology) o obstetric medicine o IDIR o Anesthesia o Cardiac catheterization laboratory o Children's hospital
Definition kit packs: - Compilation of several individual items that are packaged sterile in a set and are used for the respective use in the operating room or functional areas
- Kit packs at the UKJ can currently contain the following components: med. Consumables, bandages, covers, laundry
Targetthe award - supplying the Jena University Hospital with kit packs (multifunctional or specific sets) - all parts used must meet the requirements of the MDR "Medical Device
Regulation" - exploiting the optimization potential in logistics (storage locations, intralogistics, ordering)including reduction of administrative effort o Preparation and changeover times in the operating room should be shortened, clear documentation must be guaranteed
