Description:
The study deals with the further development of the standard "Open Architecture Radar Interface Specification (OARIS)" both in the international and NATO framework.
The study is intended to evaluate the standard in terms of possible use by the German Navy in current and future platforms for integrated Air and Missile Defense. Furthermore, the requirements of NATO for "Multi-Do-Main" standards should flow into the evaluation.
The aim of the study is, among other things, a demonstrator with which it can be demonstrated that the implementation of an OARIS 3.0 interface on marine platforms leads to an improvement in the combat options of newer threats (hypericism, small, swarm goals, etc.) compared to introduced interoperability mechanisms such as Link16.
The Oaris 3.0 Standard is developed by an international working group. The contractor should coordinate the German contributions in this working group and the results should continuously be evaluated in terms of use by the German Navy in current and future platforms for integrated Air and Missile Defense.
