• The city of Buergel intends to fundamentally redesign the market square located in the city of Buergel, OT Buergel, in accordance with the urban development framework plan and the goals currently formulated in preparation for the competition. At the same time, the listed ensemble should be in the heart of the small country town are preserved. The B7 federal highway, which runs through the competition area, represents a significant traffic challenge that requires innovative and sensitive solutions to ensure both the functionality and a high quality of the place. The federal highway should not be moved out of the square area, but should be optimized in terms of its course and width. What is expected is future-oriented traffic planning that harmonizes pedestrian, cycling and local public transport, as well as stationary traffic, and barrier-free use enabled.
