Description:
As part of the so-called "Lower Saxony Way", the NLWKN carries out pollutant tests in surface waters throughout Lower Saxony on behalf of the Lower Saxony Ministry for the Environment, Climate Protection and Energy in order to check the effectiveness of waterside strips, e.g. for the entry of plant pestsUtilities in the surface water, to check (according to NWG § 58). This should be done with a special focus on water bodies of the second and third order as well as on the exceptional backdrop of agricultural landscapes with a high density of water bodies. For this purpose, water samples from a total of 30 surface watersss points within the years 2023/2024/2025 (continuous period of two years from the start of sampling) for up to 204 specified individual compounds (e.g. pesticides, metabolites, wastewater indicators) in the total water phase to be examined at least quarterly.
The sampleCollections are made by the respective NLWKN offices and are collected centrally in the NLWKN laboratory in Hildesheim. The client reserves the right to adjust the frequency of sampling and thus the number of samples to the available budget (i.e. e.g. monthly or twomonthly (every two months) sampling instead of quarterly).
