- Description:
- The multifunctional area P3 (parking+event) intends the Karlsruhe trade fair to attach the open -air area to the east. The approximately 80,000 m² area is currently used as a temporary parking lot for the exhibition center and as a temporary event area for outdoor events. The surface currently consists of meadows and gravel access routes. In the course of the construction work, the area should be upgraded as permanent, all year round parking space and for the use of outdoor events. The construction work for this, multifunctionally usable area, includes the traffic development, the expansion for approx. 2,500 car parking spaces as well as the expansion and installation of event-related infrastructures. On an adjacent property, an old airport railway must be built back in the course of environmental protection and a dismantling obligation.
