Description:
1. The acquisition of the portable aerosol collectors is required as part of the PerForM-REACT project of the Helmholtz Zentrum Muenchen (German Research Center for Environment and Health) and the University Hospital Augsburg (UKA).
Due to the new research projects associated with the project antrag (the human aero-exposome), there is a need to collect (bio)aerosols to track personal exposure to airborne chemicals and the full spectrum of airborne biological particles (i.e. viruses, bacteria, pollen and fungal spores). and to messenior The collected air samples are analyzed using molecular and immunological techniques such as eDNA-based metabarcoding, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA), polymerase chain reactions (PCR), and mass spectrometry.
2. General system description and requirements:
For the personalized collection of chemical and biological aerosols requires 100 complete sets of samplers and sampling pumps. The sampler sets are used in biomonitoring studies with up to 100 patients and healthy persons (control persons) in different measurement campaigns and in differenten environmental conditions.
