Description:
1. The acquisition of the portable aerosol collectors is required as part of the performance react project of the Helmholtz Center in Munich (German Research Center for Environment and Health) and the University Hospital Augsburg (UKA). Due to the new research projects associated with the project application (the human aero exposome), there is a need to collect (bio-) aerosols in order to provide personal exposure with air-borne chemicals and the entire spectrum of air-borne biological particles (i.e. viruses, Bacteria, pollen and fungal spores) to be followed and measured. The collected air samples are analyzed with molecular and immunological techniques such as Edna-based metabarcoding, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA), polymerase chain reactions (PCR) and mass spectrometry. 2. General system description and requirements: For the personalized collection of chemical and biological aerosols, 100 complete sets of sample makers and sampling pumps are required.
