Philippsreut - Call for tender for the economic efficiency gap model - Closing the gap
An industry dialogue and market research has/have shown that there is currently no efficient solution for the sub-area of the local authority Gigabit infrastructure with a range of corresponding telecommunications services is available across the board in accordance with the objectives of the Gigabit Framework 2.0 and will be available in the next few years. The local authority has therefore received funding for a nationwide gigabit expansion on the underserved sub-area in the economic gap model as part of the guideline "Funding to support the gigabit expansion of telecommunications networks in the Federal Republic of Germany - Federal Gigabit Guideline 2.0 (Gigabit-RL 2.0)" of March 31, 2023 in the version 1. Amendment dated April 30, 2024 ("Gigabit Guideline 2.0") applied for and received approval. The funding provided in this funding program in the economic gap model (hereinafter: funds) is intended to be distributed by local authorities to telecommunications companies in the sense of EU state aid law be passed on as investment cost aid for the construction and operation of gigabit networks.
