Planning Communication services for CBTC
As part of the CBTC project, an extensive radio communication network is built on the lines U5 and U8, which should significantly modernize the train control. So that this CBTC system is functional, large changes to the existing Plants in the tunnels necessary, which largely affects the fiber optic network, but also the telecommunications distribution rooms. Part of the necessary new fiber optic infrastructure, such as the connection of CBTC FunkrePeadern, is implemented by the system supplier, while all the necessary extensions in the BVG core network is directly carried out by the BVG. Due to the takeover of the support for the entire fiber optic infrastructure by the BVG (specialist department VI-AV22), planning participation is also necessary in the services of the system supplier to be carried out. The equipment of the routes with TK technology Including CU cabling and disassembly of the old systems when converting/ transferring, the equipment of the CBTC rooms with communication technology, as well as for the equipment/ new construction of the FVT's, the BVG is responsible for planning participation.
