Description: The city of Koblenz intends to replace a 2.5-speed primary school. The new building will be approx. 1,068 m2 NF for the school and another approx. 231 m2 for the all-day area with kitchen. In addition, a single-span hall is to be built.
Particular emphasis is placed on the redesign of the open spaces and playgrounds, which meet the needs of a primary school.
The aim is a convincing urban, architectural and functional design solution that takes into account the special features of the school complex and takes into account the economic aspects with regard to ecological and energetic criteria.
The total budget is EUR 7.9 million net, excluding ancillary construction costs.
The Award and Competition Committee of the Rhineland-Palatinate Chamber of Architects was involved in the preparation of this competition in an advisory capacity.
