Description:
Route 3611 between Friedrichsdorf (Taunus) and Friedberg (Hesse) is to be completely electrified, including all accessible station tracks so that the route can be used with electric locomotives. The existing gap closure in the electrified network of the Middle Between region Friedrichsdorf and Friedberg (approx. 14.5 km) should be overcome. New capacities will be created as a diversion route for the general renovation of the Frankfurt junction, especially for the RE line Frankfurt - Kassel. During the construction phase, the S6 2nd BS can be transferred from Friedberg in the future Friedrichsdorf will be rerouted instead of Hanau. The diversion option must be guaranteed from 2027.
The following work is planned along the entire route in the first expansion stage:
- Equipping the route with an overhead line system:
- Erecting overhead line masts Approximately every 50 m, this requires punctual intervention, e.g. via driven pile foundations into the ground to set up the masts
- Installation of wire system including contact wire
- Use of BE areas to store materials (preferably on sealed areas)
- Friedrichsdorf: New construction of feed lines a switching position (planning SP not part of the service to be awarded)
- Friedberg: New construction of feeder lines to a substation (planning adjustment of UW not part of the service to be awarded)
- Adjustments to the 17 existing SUes
