- The project "Using waste heat from wastewater from the Erfurt-Kuehnhausen sewage treatment plant for coupling into the district heating network of SWE Energie GmbH" is intended to achieve the company's goal. The intention is to use the waste heat potential from the treated wastewater in the district Kuehnhausen sewage treatment plant. The thermal potential of the treated wastewater is to be harnessed using large heat pumps that are housed in a machine house and connected to the medium-voltage network as an essential part of the project. This requires a corresponding one Extension of the contracting authority's existing district heating network. On this basis, the entire project is structured into a planning lot "system technology" and another planning lot "expansion of the district heating network". The subject of this award is the general planning for the first plant technology planning lot. In contrast, the second planning lot for the extension of the district heating network will be awarded separately.
