Description:
The city of Wuerselen intends to build a new sports hall and cultural complex, including a forecourt between the buildings for events, as part of a reorganization of the central area of the Broichweiden district.
This project includes In addition to the dismantling of the existing sports facility, the construction of a new competition sports hall (Zweibuehalle) and a training sports hall (triple hall) and the construction of a new village hall with a foyer. The sports halls are used for school and club sports as well as for competitions. The cultural complex serves as a usage unit for various sports and cultural associations as well as as a multifunctional event hall.
Before the start of construction, the inventory site must be recreated from the later contractor and soil materials must be disposed of properly.
The property to be built is the scope of the Development plan No. 233 A "Sports and Cultural Systems and Markt Broichweiden-Mitte". The development plan provides for a permissible development (SO area) for sports and culture. The statute decision is expected in July 2025. Afterwards the required Change of land use plan to the district government and approved by this. The final approval is expected until October 2025.
