The Federal Foundation for Equality is a legal, federal, direct foundation under public law based in Berlin. The purpose of the foundation is to strengthen and promote equality between women and men in Germany. In the comments on the establishing law, a regular The Equality Day taking place is named as an important instrument to conduct dialogue about equality with these groups, to pool practical experiences and to network the relevant actors. Equality Day is intended to address different points of view from science and practice and also provide insight into everyday equality work, into current discourses in equality policy as well as into equality aspects of other policy areas such as health and labor market policy.
