Planning services - construction of a sewage sludge mono-incineration plant (KVA) The Schwandorf thermal sewage sludge utilization association (ZTKS) operates on The site of the Schwandorf waste power plant has a sewage sludge drying plant (KTA), which is designed for a maximum drying capacity of 50,000 Mg/a of mechanically dewatered sewage sludge. In the KTA only Municipal sewage sludge Wastewater treatment with waste code number 19 08 05 accepted. The dry matter content of the sludge accepted is on average around 25%. In the KTA, the sludge is completely dried to a final DM content of approx. 90 to 95%. In the design case This produces around 13,500 Mg of dry material per year in the KTA. In order to be able to organize the thermal utilization of the sewage sludge generated in the association area in the future and also to comply with the legal requirements for phosphorus recovery, The Schwandorf waste utilization association (ZMS) and the ZTKS intend to build their own sewage sludge mono-incineration plant in the immediate vicinity of the existing drying plant and the ZMS waste power plant in Schwandorf.
