- With the help of funding from the municipal model project for the implementation of ecological sustainability goals in structural change regions (KoMoNa) - program of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV), the city wants to develop a concept for developing theLangen Berg's sustainable leisure, recreation and environmental education offerings and implement the associated renovation measures. This funding program is managed by the Zukunft-Umwelt-Gesellschaft (Zug) gGmbH as the project sponsor on behalf of the BMUV. The following measures are plannedehen: 1. Renovation of the Martinsturm in accordance with monument protection, creation of bat roosts inside the tower, construction of a steel platform on the Martinsturm as a teaching and recreational platform, including accessibility via a steel staircase construction on the back 2. Creation of a natureeducational trail with a natural adventure area with a barefoot path, fitness and play facilities and a large climbing combination 3. Creation of barrier-free access and tours to the cultural assets in an overall concept, including lighting at dusk and night 4. Creation of a buildingoverall concept taking into account the natural area, species and plant protection in the landscape protection area 5. Construction of elevated steel stairs with railings to the Martinturm, the natural stage "Am Spring" and the open-air stage.
