• Description:
• The area of the Sielmanns Naturlandschaft (SNL) Doeberitzer Heide comprises large parts of the former military training area "Doeberitz", which has a history of use of around 300 years and is one of the oldest military training areas in Germany. Here the military use especially of the last Century decisively influenced the ecological equipment of the area. In this area, which is now protected as a nature reserve, in the central area in addition to open heath fields also includes mooring, hollow shapes and wetlands. With the FFH and bird sanctuary "Doeberitzer Heide If the area is part of the Euro-Pecish protective area system Natura 2000. The former FFH area "Ferbitzer Bruch" has risen in the new FFH and bird sanctuary. Large parts of the former "Doeberitz" trup penaltic area are "Doeberitzer Heide" by the nature reserves (NSG) "Doeberitzer Heide and taken "Ferbitzer Bruch". The area is also located in the landscape protection area "Koenigswald with Havelseen and Seeburger Agrarlandschaft". The area represents a unique combination of landscape ecological, biological and geographical peculiarities in Europe, with that NSG Doeberitzer Heide forms a small -scale mosaic of higher, drying and mooring, wetter areas. Many rare biotopes and species are protected and have been preserved for years by targeted measures of landscape maintenance and nature conservation. The wetlands and assorties Rinnen in the core zone are mainly kept open by the Grand Herbivors, such as Wisent, Rothirsch and Przewalski horses.
